About Me.

I'm a 27-year-old Communication & Multimedia Design student going into my fourth year at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. I started out mainly focusing on UX/UI, but somewhere along the way I got pulled into the technical side too, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and lately poking around with backend stuff as well. Front-end is where I am now, full-stack is where I'm headed.

Honestly, this goes back further than my studies. As a kid I cut open the inside of an old Wicky candy package and turned it into a kind of Nintendo DS, with a little paper animation inside meant to represent a game. I also built websites for Pokémon I'd made up myself, using Kennisnet. I had no idea what "coding" even meant back then, I just wanted to make things that didn't exist yet. Looking back, that's probably where it started, the moment design and tech stopped being two separate things for me. When I work on a project, looks are never the whole story for me. I want to know why it's being built, who it's for, and whether it actually solves something, then figure out how to build that.

Outside of school, I'm pretty much always doing something. I love sports and trying new ones the gym, running, swimming, basketball, volleyball, bouldering, and occasionally kickboxing. I'm also a big gamer, Pokémon is one of my favourites. I enjoy reading, mostly non-fiction, and travelling whenever I get the chance.

During my third year, I followed a minor focused on sports and social impact. It gave me the opportunity to work on projects outside of the usual digital-product context and made me think more about the bigger picture: who you're designing for, what they need and how a solution fits into their environment.

For my internship, I'm looking for a place where I can work on projects, learn from the people around me and keep developing my skills in both UX and development.

Looking for a 17-week internship, tech-focused.

I'm looking for a 17-week internship (opdrachtstage) starting February 2027, ideally one with a strong focus on the technical side, that's where I want to keep growing toward front-end and full-stack. UX research is always welcome too, I find staying close to the actual user just as valuable as focusing purely on the code. I've also got a real interest in AI and cybersecurity and would love to grow in either direction, so if that overlaps with what you do, even better.
